i think the option to attach invoice by pdf is the best way. that way, you can put additional messages in the body of the e-mail without screwing up formatting of invoice
ant.

We'll definitely put this on a list of issues to carefully consider. I'd like to continue to get feedback from users to get a larger, representative sample of the opinions on this issue. That being said, it wouldn't be too difficult to set up a global setting, but also have the ability to override this setting either at the customer level (e.g. SlowPay, Inc. always gets the link that allows you to track invoice receipt) or at the individual invoice level (e.g. you have a feeling Occasionally Late, Inc. might be starting to get a little difficult). We are, however, trying to be cautious not to fall down the path of feature bloat. Carry on with the feedback, dear users.

I think that I would like to see the option to either send HTML emails without tracking or Plain text with tracking. That way if I have a client who is one of those 'What Invoice' I would use the plain text and all the rest I would use HTML.
Or have the option as a Global setting so that all mails are either sent plain text tracked or HTML not tracked.
I feel that this flexibility would encourage more people to use your application.

I think you have a point on the tracking issue.
I would actually prefer the invoice to be on the email itself but I think it works this way as well.

A few AcuInvoice users have contacted us regarding our decision to send a link to an invoice, rather than the invoice itself, via email. Our rationale behind designing it as we did derives from the fact that we want to be able to track when invoices are received by your customers. This is a lot harder to do on a reliable basis if an HTML invoice is sent. However, as we have designed it, we can not only track that your invoice was received, but by whom (if you send it to multiple people, it tracks all of them) and at what time. This helps eliminate the "I didn't get my invoice" phenomenon and should help you get paid faster. Also, we like the fact that the invoices are served over an encrypted connection--not really possible with email. So this is our reasoning, but since we’ve heard from a couple of users on this, we wanted to put this out for feedback. Thoughts?
