Thanks for the reply. I love your DNS redirect by the way, this is a really great feature.

Re QB, If we could attach a PDF invoice I would sign up today. Without it, I can't see how to close the loop with our existing billing. Some of our bills are 10 to 30 items and retyping those is a no-go. The only service I can find that allows you to attach a file is billmanager by Intuit but everything else about BillManager is... sort of a BM.
Thanks, Charles

Hello,

I really want something far less, although full Sync would eventually be nice. There are so many many aps out there that change the way you invoice. I guess I really don't see a problem using QB to CREATE an invoice. However, getting paid online then is a drag. I would like to be able to UPLOAD a QB pdf or UPLOAD as an attachment to an online accuinvoice invoice. Then when they go to the website it asks them to pay xxx amount (and yes I am happy to input xxx amount - I don't need it to sync that) and provides the quickbooks pdf as link for downloading and printing. Being able to import our customer database would be nice. (CSVimport that I think you may have but a tempate would be nice.) I think this would be fairly easy to implement. You just have an invoice template that says your invoice is attached and allow an upload. Happy to pay extra for the privilege.

A next step would be to send the PAID invoice data back to QB.
A next step woudl be to provide the ability to download all open invoices into Accuinvoice and have a check box for which to send out.

The deal here is that I cannot find an app that lets me still use all my items and workflow in QB but just asks for the money in a clean sane way!

Just ideas. Happy to flesh it out more.

1. using QB desktop
2. All invoicing data for full sync
3. Would be a nice feature, that way we can use either QB or acuinvoice, depending whether I'm at work or on an island at some white sandy beach sippling cocktails and counting the money!!
4. Complete sync would be the best!
5. Early version to QB integration would be fine. Anything that is a start is a bonus!
6. Automatic would be good, and likely good to sync wen possible - weekly...etc.

Ismael,
Thanks for the heads up on this. I'll open a ticket on this and try to get something out in the forthcoming 1.1 release. The issue related to displaying EUR rather than € should be simple enough. However, the separator is a little more complex. If we go down this path, we'd have to hard code this for each currency, and as you can tell, we support a bunch of them. We might have to think that part through a bit more.

The Euro Symbol should be displayed on the right side of the amount (unlike the dollar), otherwise use "EUR". Also, the Euro Currency uses a comma as its decimal separator:

4.000.000,25€
EUR 4.000.000,25

acuinvoice on "Add VAT Number To Google Invoice"

Several people have either contacted us, or have stumbled upon out site, in search of a solution for adding VAT numbers to Google's internal invoicing system. While we work on a long term VAT solution (we encourage you to participate in this and other related threads to provide input on this), we suggest one of the following two approaches in AcuInvoice to help Google Checkout users deal with this issue:

Make use of the Address 2 field. This is a good area for you to put VAT#: XXXXXXX

In the Company Name field, put "Company Name: VAT#: XXXXXX"

We encourage users to participate both on this thread as well as on another thread related to VAT invoices to help us come up with some good specifications for this. Meanwhile, we invite current users of Google's invoicing tool to try out AcuInvoice; we think the functionality is clearly superior to Google's invoice utility.

A couple of users have contacted us regarding the ability to synchronize data with QuickBooks. These users typically utilize QB as a general ledger package, but prefer the flexibility that AcuInvoice provides. QuickBooks "integration" is something that, depending on how it is defined, could either be very simple, or fairly complex. Therefore, we are starting this thread to seek community feedback so that we can learn more about this issue prior to rolling out an initial QuickBooks integration utility. We have some specific questions, but would also encourage you to provide whatever feedback you think should be considered in making our decision regarding QB integration. Our specific questions for users include:

Do you use the desktop version of QB or do you use QuickBooks online?

What data (specifically) would you like to send from AcuInvoice to QuickBooks?

Do you need to send data from QB to AcuInvoice?

Would you want this to be a one way communication (e.g. AI-->QB only) or would you want to have complete synchronization between the two applications?

Would you prefer to see an early version of QB integration, or should we wait for certain new features to be unveiled (e.g. time tracking, the concept of a project, etc.)?

How frequently would you need to have data imported or synchronized? If you are using the online version, would it be ok to do this automatically?

If users could be so kind as to provide this feedback, we will begin to draft specifications for QuickBooks integration in the near future.

Flipman619,
Thanks for joining our forums. There are a few things you need to have in order for PayPal to work with AcuInvoice.
1. A valid PayPal account.

2. You need to have PayPal activated, and your account information entered properly in your AcuInvoice account. This section can be found in My Account-->Payment Gateways within your AcuInvoice account.

3. When you create an invoice, you then have to send that invoice. When you hit "Send" you will see an option to "Enable PayPal" for that invoice.

The recipient is sent an email telling them that they have an invoice to pay. When they open the invoice, links to any enabled payment gateways (e.g. PayPal, 2checkout.com, Amazon FPS) are shown in the upper left hand side of the invoice. I suspect the problem is that you are viewing the invoice not from the recipient's perspective, but rather from within the application (i.e. the invoice editor). These have slightly different displays, and since it is unlikely that you'd want to be paying invoices for your clients, the links to the payment gateways are excluded from this view. If this hasn't answered your question, or if you think you might have found a bug, please shoot us an email at support (at) acuinvoice dot com or click on the "contact support" button in the upper right hand of the application.
Regards,
Sidney

Done. Also, a few people have asked about disabling the printing of all of the header and footer information. This is an issue with the web browser (i.e. not something we can control on our server), but is nonetheless easy to fix. If you are in Firefox and running Windows, navigate to File-->Page Setup and click on the tab that says "Margins & Header/Footer." Set all of the fields to "blank" and your invoices will print without displaying this page information. I've not walked through this in other OS/browser combinations, but suspect it can be addressed via similar changes to the settings. Note that we are considering the addition of PDF invoices. If we add this, it would then be possible for us to dynamically generate invoices sans the URL information.

I have headed paper I would like to print invoices on (some of my clients prefer a physical document) and wondered if it would be possible to have the application disable logo printing when an admin user prints invoices?

This way a basic logo will be included if the client prints the invoice but full headed paper can be used for issued invoices.
